One of Australia’s biggest sport compact race events was held on 7th march 2015. With clear sky’s over head, the SDR motorsport team was up early and ready to head to Sydney dragway. Sydney Jamboree had 144 race entries lining up to race and plenty on show as well. The new SDR motorsport mazda 6 was taken for its first race debut. With only a few of 60 foot passes under their belt. Struggling with the sticky track conditions the car still showed potential. As the car is looking very impressive in 3.30 foot times and a best of a 1.04 to the 60 foot times  And the car had one early shut off pass at 7.5@174mph. Some of our customer cars did quite well also at the event. Ciprian won street 289 class running 9.2’s. James with his silver mazda rx3 won best light of the night trophy and Timothy won 2nd in top engine bay class. Stay tuned for upcoming race events as this mazda 6 will be testing for the upcoming Queensland Jamboree event later this year.
